What do you think is the appropriate amount of time (if any) between partners for intimacy? Does it differ for real life partners and online partners? Or, between an online partner and a real life partner, for that matter?

What I'm gathering from the previous question is that very few people like maintenance/repair but they recognise how useful it is so definitely it's a good partner quality.

Being handy makes you more desirable by... quite a lot, it looks like :D

And lacking that skill, you need to be independently wealthy. Because hiring people to do all those things gets expensive.

Its hard to answer this question. It depends on not only my honesty but the honesty of the partner. There were 3 relationships I’ve had here online where it felt as if I were kicked in the chest. Real life-actually meeting them, a hurting comedy of either married men, self righteous s.o.b.s and those who’s pick up lines begin with “you’ve got a really nice ass” plagued my existence. To say the least, I’m a bit skiddish of relationships.

It depends your level of comfort with that person to share and their ability to do the same. Online, you can drop a person like a hot potato (yes, I experienced this) and in person they can outright lie to your face. It’s a matter of the willingness of both parties and it’s different for everyone and difficult to assess.

One night stands are just that, the 90 day rule marks it for others. It depends on what you know, what you feel and what you allow. It is said you have components of what you attract. I guess I need to keep quiet and listen (or read others’ responses) a bit since I’m clearly not successful in this area.

1,023 hours, 16 minutes, and 27.4 seconds.

Seriously though, I don't think there's a specific answer here. It's going to vary based on situation, person, communication, etc. I don't think you can shoe horn it. But if you had to, definitely 1,023 hours, 16 minutes, and 27.4 seconds.

Great question. Way more than people do. I suggest one-quarter of the time of the prior relationship.

As soon as the breakup conversation has ended

Online or real life

Once you're no longer with someone, you don't owe them anything

Totally my answer to the previous question too - it's sooooooo important!

I'm with someone I have an understanding with so I love one right after the other personally. An hour or two in-between is fun too. I look forward to the day when I can come home and ask him "Guess who I bumped into today?" and he'll be able to tell by how I taste. That might never happen though.

I think it's important to have an understanding about being with other people if you're married or in an LTR. If I'm just dating or its someone I'm flirting with online then it's my business not theirs who and when I'm with other people.

So.. I thought this meant "between two people" but people are answering as if it's between sexual encounters..

between two people, follow the chemistry
between encounters where the 'other' does not remain the same.. I'm more inclined to say that I don't want to taste someone else on him - so at least enough time to shower
and probably longer.
close that other book before you open this one.
I want to be the main character.
And I'd really rather taste myself when we kiss.

I took it as, when you break up with someone, how long do you wait, before mating with someone else.

Maybe I'm wrong

It could be 30 minutes or five years in either case for me. I've never figured out when or why the mood may strike.

That's an awful lot of those little blue pills, surely?

...which is why masturbation is the thrifty, low-cost option. The EasyJet of the orgasm world, if you will.

What's something that you look for in a partner now that you never imagined requiring when you were younger?

If I ever found myself in a position to be looking for another real life partner, I would definitely look for someone who forgives easily, doesn’t hold grudges and whose love languages are compatible with mine.

The older I get, the more sure I am of what it is I am looking for. I’m very picky and it is very hard to find, so I feel like when the chemistry is right and all the pieces fit perfectly together, you just know and you better grab a hold of it while you can.

If you could be instantly standing in front of anyone on earth, who would it be and what would you do?

I want 2.

Given we're both hermit-ish it's probably safe to use portals, so I'd go to the UK to give my mum a hug. Haven't seen her since late December 2019, and she's been going through some difficult times these last few months.

I haven't seen Avery in even longer.
