I hope it was an easy ride home today. Most roads here are ok now. It's just the smaller roads that can be a bit tricky.
It was a beautiful day today with -6°C, no wind and almost no clouds! I like winter when it's like that! Dinner is down and I'm relaxing with a glas of wine.
I have dug out an alcohol stove that is burning now. Not exactly like a wood stove but it spreads warm air and cozy atmosphere. Hygge de lux!

No, but I am contemplating walking to Christiansborg tomorrow.. not because I am especially royal, but nevertheless - it is kinda historical.

The Royal Family here are a form of spectacular theatre, with all that goes along with the pageantry and pomp... I enjoy the spectacle! And I don't think we will see the likes of long-serving, stable, reliable statespeople like Elizabeth II and Margrethe II again!

I won't say I am a loyal royal supporter but I do support our royal family, I think it's all part of our history and even though it is thought by some to be antiquated and serve no purpose, I am glad we have one. So Cat if this was happening in Sweden (maybe sooner than i think) I would doing what you are.

Yes I saw that too on the tv. It seems like everybody in Copenhagen were on the streets. And the first part of the way they traveled from Amalienborg is quite a narrow street. It must have been horrible to stand there! But nothing a Carlsberg and a Gammel Dansk can't cure!

Oh.. people were definitely celebrating it with Carlsberg and Gammel Dansk 
- It was a veritable celebration of the new People's King.
The atmosphere was electric, everyone was best friends, and having a child with you meant = please step in front of me.
So, youngest small human and I was very much up in front!
The moment the king was declared king!
Her Majesty Queen Margrethe the II has abdicated, long live His Majesty King Frederik the X.
The 9 fold "Hurrah"
- and the very first speech from His Majesty King Frederik the X.
- It was a veritable celebration of the new People's King.

Gammel Dansk is new to me… but I like what I see!
The feeling of everyone just being... Friendly, in that.. Extremely Danish way..

It is the great thing about having a Royal family... it gives everybody a patriotic, friendly focus, with none of that pesky politics getting involved!
