🧘🏼‍♂️🤾🏻‍♀️Getting Sweaty Again: The 3rd Circuit 🚴🏼‍♂️🏋🏼‍♀️

Ok ok… this thread might be better for me than the Battle thread.

I will stretch today and swim. Promise!!
Jogging? Maybe if I lose another 20?? Would 40 more make my back happy?

2.5 miles on the treadmill this evening. Running inside is so boring, but I got it in.
I was so bad this weekend. Family gatherings really put a damper on my progress. I ate and drank beer with no workouts since Thursday morning. My will power sucks. I really need to and should have made better decisions.

today work did not allow time. So tomorrow it will be lifting in the AM and then cardio at lunch.

So I was gonna do a longer run this morning.
Ended up doing 5 clicks before the oceans call became too strong to ignore.
It is summer here now too.

This morning was a tough 5ks, but I’m running at pretty good pace lately.
I need a running partner, be good to have someone to stretch the hammies out with, after a run and swim…😬

Now that the weather is turning I'm not working out outside anymore and I'm getting back into my belly dancing lessons. I found a site a few days ago that has free classes and I'm excited to start tomorrow!

Here's the link if anyone is interested.
By the way, are you doing the belly dancing for workouts or some bedroom fun? LOL
I had a coworker who talked about that all the time.

I do it for the workouts but I'm sure it crosses over well if you don't look like one of those inflatable tube things that wave around because that's about my level of skill. 🤣

I prefer dancing as my workout. I did ballet for a while, switched to some gentle yoga, and that's lead to trying belly dancing. It is very challenging but I love it because it's fun!

I have been dancing for 30mins most mornings for the last 2 months. At the same time I've been fasting intermittently, only eating between 10am and 6pm.

I didn't think it was doing anything but now my trousers feel big and I can see a noticeable difference in my legs.

I like this new, relaxed, version of me. I've been kinder to myself and listened to my limits. This is the most consistent I've been since 2019.

Hiya!

Dancing is so much fun 🤩 @sallysparrow23 I might have to look at that link some more!!

And @HoneyMeadows ❤️🥰 when the trousers feels big.. 🥳💪🏻 That is the best!!!

I have been upping the ante when it comes to weightlifting, and have actually gotten a trainer! (Because.. I really want to learn how to do it right!)

Also, as a very much welcome added side effect: my running is getting better!!! Less pain in my Achilles tendon and overall, I am starting to feel stronger!

Yesterday in gym, I did some mixed strength:

Deadlifts with 45 kg.

Some bodyweight rows

Hip thrusts with resistance band and barbell (- they are amazing for lower back pain!!)

And today..🤜🏻✨🤛🏻 (yup!! I am pretty happy right now!)
I ran 7 km in 48 minutes, without my tendon squeaking too much!!! 🤩❤️💪🏻🥳

It is a good start of the weekend!!

🙈

Not really!! 😅 Just very stubborn, and extremely happy when working out. 🙈

❤️❤️❤️

On the other hand.. I find you to be rather inspirational!
I'm just sharing for my own accountability but if that inspires someone to do something for for themselves, then everyone wins. 😁

Working out makes me happy too, especially when it's dance. ❤️

That's quite a workout, you are indeed amazing! I need to start going to a gym myself, mainly for my upper body, since on a good day like yesterday I walked 20 km/34851 steps at work.

That's awesome. I'm glad that works for you.
I can tell you I liked my cardio much better when it was Basketball and Hockey leagues. But as time goes on you get older and the beers and pizza and wings and burgers have the adverse affect on the exercise. Hence the reason I quit those and started back in the gym.

I weighed my self today and lost another 2.2 lbs. I broke the 20 lbs barrier (20.2 to be exact is gone).

I did my 50 minute stationary bike ride this AM again. another 13.02 miles, 799 calories. I seem to be upping the intensity this week a little. I also did chest, triceps and shoulders at the gym. I did an hour and 50 minutes total today.

This is amazing. Keep it up and good luck. I miss a trainer.
They are just too expensive right now.
