My Safe Place Thread

It is not my fault; the two of you brought perverted sex talk into my safe-place thread and you brought in that place below the equator again at the same time. I had to log off for a week just to feel safe again.

I am now a spectacle wearing person and I have realised the only safe space is my eyes. Please stop denying the splatter caused by your derogatory instigations.

I am not sure where to ask about avatars, I tried in the tech but it would't go though.

How do you add an avatar? I have searched everywhere.

Just wanted to post I had a bad day. Hubby and I argued...sometimes its hard to let your guard down.

All of this discussion of fighting and husbands, seems rather un-safe for me.

But, the good news is that my sweet corn is coming ready and fast. 4 ears per meal and extras to hand out to neighbours. Tomatoes are finally ripening and our first salsa of the year is in the jars. Potatoes are ready for digging, zucchini and squash are about finished, and cucumbers are finally slowing down; perhaps my friends will stop running when they see my car.

Already!? Any crops you can two of in a year?

as far as field crops: we can double with winter wheat and then soybeans, although I do not do this very often.

In the home vegetable garden: lettuce, spinach, peas, and radishes can be grown for both spring and fall harvests, but most other crops need more warm and sun to ripen and I have never grown a second crop.

I don't want my summer to end, it has been one of the best summers of my life.

Back to work soon, I hope that things can stay the same

Just quickly stopping by to say hi.

Hi everyone. I hope you're all warm and happy and having fun and stuff. I am. :)

Hi cunt x

You sound like Pa Ingalls. Do you wear braces and hook yourself up to the oxen? Do you yank out your fiddle and play a slow air when the bullock drops dead in the field.

I'm going to put a bonnet on and pretend I'm Caroline.

We'll plait Smiley's hair and make her run down a hill. St Pete can be stumbling behind like that retarded Carrie kid.

Did I tell you that our apples are almost ripe? I picked the first dozen yesterday to make an apple crisp to share with the other hound walkers today.

My grapes are just about ripe now as well. Still a tad sour, but kbate white blend 2017 is only about a month away.

We're modern here, we have iPods in stead of fiddles. Gawd you cunts are stuck in the 1980s.

Which variety (or varieties) of apples?

Which variety (or varieties) of apples?

I have:

Granny Smith, Yellow Delicious, McIntosh, HoneyCrisp, Pink Lady, Gala, Winesap/Stayman, and an unknown heritage apple. I also have some local hybrids which have not yet produced (my new plantings for this year).

Grapes are varied, but all white flesh.

Oh, quite a lovely variety.

Do you have a cider press? [For making North American sense apple cider (e.g. non-alcoholic), not everywhere else sense, lest anyone be confused.]

I had a cider press, up in Pennsylvania at my family cabin; it was stolen by my caretaker's children, taken to Florida and most likely sold in an antique shop. Now I have found a wooden screw and pressure plate, but have not yet found time to assemble them into a new cider press.

Oh, well that is most unfortunate! It really is missing something having an apple orchard without one. But it is not yet autumn, so there's time still, but it would be a shame to go without in the season.
