This has slipped off topic, as threads go once the disallowed begin posting their irrelevancies.

Remember that all topics are permitted as long as they conform with the OP goal of being safe for everyone who is qualified to post in this thread.

We had snow last night. Almost 1/4 of an inch.

see, like that - weather is a good safe topic but global warming or cooling or climate change is not.

also food is good, but not the ethics of what you eat.

so post on.

Boring.

I was taught sowing grass seed before snowfall was a good idea. That the snow insulated it, watered it but importantly protected it from birds. I have never tried this method mainly because I have other things todo before snowfall including getting excited.

Painting the outside of the house in September is advisable here. The sun isn't so strong as to blister the paint and it has sufficient time to harden off to offer good protection to the wood work.

Why would the paint blister? Improperly dried substrate?

Bit of that, bit of recommended painting temperature. Guessing it could be different on alaskan cans, but I do remember continental US haveing a fairly small recommended, of course humidity didn't help.

I have to call Ron to get my house painted this spring.

One should always endeavour to live in a brick house if possible.

We chose a combination of various materials for the exterior of our house when we built. The framing is 2x6 on all exterior walls, and over that is, a reflective insulation, plywood, tyvek and then either stucco or stone depending on the location.

The stucco is dyed and will need to be re-coloured every 5 years or so.

Brick is OK, but a bit plebeian for my taste and it tends to make new construction look pretentious, especially in an area where many of the brick houses are 18th century federals. Not cool to attempt to look like a house that predated the nation.

Not much brick around here. There's CMUs, but those are just nasty. Flexible siding and building products are common for houses.

I could post something cute, or funny, or even mildly serious. Except I'm one of the disallowed. So, neeners.

You better watch it, sister, or I'll resume my practice of sending highly offensive, suggestive, unsolicited private messages to trollops with names like Fetid Whoregina.

;) ;) ;)

I hope someone crams fresh ginger down your bellend.

What's wrong with the word Australia? "Catsup" is a gazillion times worse than "Australia." You have to have a saggy mouth just to say it. Catsup. See? Gross.

Anyway. *hair toss* I've been on a health kick. Salads and muesli and fish and yoghurt and cheese and lots of nuts and veg etc. Gym 3 times a week. Bike 3 times a week. Netball x 2. I don't drink.

My groin area hurts though. That goddamn thigh machine.

I'm too tall to post in this thread, apparently.

In the past I would have made an exception for you, but if I make one exception I will have to make a hundred, and this would be just a blurt thread rather than a safe-place thread where I and those who qualify to post, can discuss weighty but non-controversial matters in a manner which offends nobody.

I apologise for this, but rules are rules are rules.
