Rambling Rosie's Retreat

I always got my HW done during lunch or the last few minutes of classes or it was completed immediately after school. I hated procrastinating on work, so I did it at school during any spare moments. I carried a lot of books with me. I guess this makes me a nerd. I wish I still had that mentality for other stuff these days πŸ˜„

Oh I just couldn't.
It wasn't for the lack of trying or that I didn't understand what to do. I'd sit for hours with my books and notes in front of me but couldn't focus or make myself do the actual work.
Then the Sunday night dread would creep in and sometimes I'd harness the power of panic to get it done but most of the time I solved the issue by worrying so much I made myself ill and then didn't need to go to school.
I don't recommend that as a life hack by the way 🀣

I was lucky back then. A lot of it came naturally or through flashcards πŸ˜„

I accidentally made a mean kid cry by setting the curve in my geometry class. He yelled at the teacher and said "she cheated!! She gets high every day before school!!!! She had to of cheated!" The teacher said "give her a problem and watch her solve it on the board. She's not cheating." Even though the kid was a mean jock, I still felt sorry for him. I don't like making people cry :(

I tried flashcards once. I lost them πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

But yeah I relied a lot on being naturally good at stuff but there obviously comes a time where what you need to know is greater than what you can just grasp easily.

Aw if seems like you have a good heart. Hopefully the kid learned some kind of lesson from the experience but it probably wasn't the right one

I was often caught doing my homework in registration, or not doing it and getting detentions.

Do your homework kids or you'll end up like me.

Yes and every single time telling yourself it won't ever happen again too.

I should be on the warning posters really 🀣
Consequences for inaction

I used to be in tears about some homework: French mostly because the teacher was a bully.

We've had a long fruitless day. Arrived at what turned out to be a dodgy car supermarket based in a rented commercial unit with a coffee machine and load of phones not being answered. We saw the car and Mr Sticks says 'Is it me or is that door a different colour blue' we looked from different angles, then found another panel the wrong shade of BLUE. There was no point speaking to anyone but I used the loo and got a free crappy coffee and we drove all the way home... We'd planned to go see the mural in Pagnell but were so cheesed off we didn't bother.

Happy Sunday! The sun came out - the gay old thing!
