You're making me laugh ... a new weiner warmer, maybe. I saw them on Facebook.
I need some potholders.

Well I don't need a warmer for my dick - the amount of time my hand is over it ensures it never gets cold!

Unless you want one knitting - for your nose obviously. Not that I'm saying you have a nose shaped like a dick ..er...

Shut up Brainy...

You said you wanted water and I offered! ;)

What do you want me to knit you? It seems I'm making everyone something..

I'll bear that in mind. Don't want it to turn stiff - it's going to see a lot of use!

No, I'm good thanks lol.

I wasn't wearing panties... ;)

Being different is good, interesting. Not all guys like princesses... but, even DS had a hard time getting the gas pump from me. I'm used to doing things myself..

Being equal doesn't negate respect.

Haha, no, I know. This is what got me thinking about it all - I know that I'm not necessarily right in my ways of thinking, esp about balances of genders. I think that as long as a woman is being treated in the manner that she truly wants (and vice-versa for men), then it's all good. But when you're raising boys - instilling positive discrimination re: women is still planting seeds of problems for the future society.

I know I'm too aggressively independent. Though, I don't consider it to be about my gender, so much as just being *me*. I think I'm so strong-willed, that I take to the extremes sometimes.

*hugs Tal*

*kisses Azul demurely on the cheek* ;)

Hey, Tal, everyone. Interesting discussion on the positive discrimination thing.

I think we've come a very long way in the last couple of generations, actually. Children these days do, just as part of their daily lives, see women in a variety of jobs, professional and practical, and that's got to help, I'd have thought. I applaud your thoughtfulness about this, though.

They have other challenges, though. Learning about sex through porn? Ugh...

Hey, if it wasn't for porn, I would have never learned how to suckle a woman's nipples to the point of orgasm.....:D

Hey Numi?

You mean porn isn't a true representative of sex? Awww, I was looking forward to a triple anal experience.

OUCH!

Hmm. Child labor. Independence and who treats who. Weiner warmers. Missing panties. Bacon. Fiscal irresponsibility to impress.

And all woven together into a semblance of order. Cool. ;)

My only observation on taking back the money you pay a 6 year old boy for doing his chores to buy you dinner is how absurd.

Had to google the term "positive discrimination", it's not a term we use in the US. Affirmative action would be a similar idea, but the term tends to have a very narrow focus in the US.

Advantages or disadvantages, if you want to force your way into a space where you haven't traditionally been, you're going to have to be better than what's currently there.

I'm not sure there's that much actual positive discrimination here.

'force your way'? You mean 'be permitted to access the same opportunities without prejudice', surely? :D But yes, if women (or actually anyone who is not a 'straight white male') wanted to do something, traditionally they felt pressure to over-achieve, simply because there was no precedent.

In the UK, massive steps forward occurred during the Second World War. A whole generation of men went away to war, and the women left behind picked up the reins. And when the remnants of that generation returned, no-one could say "women can't do that", because they'd been doing it for five years...

That's exactly what I mean by "force your way", for better or worse nobody gives it to you. Despite being viewed as a straight white male now, a few generations ago that was not the case for prior members of my family. They forced their way in by overachieving.

In my experience, the men who want to keep women down simple because they don't have a cock are the men who aren't good enough on merit. They deserve to be forced out of jobs by girls who kiss ass.

The Second World War couldn't have been won without the help of American women as well. They drove a large part of the industrial output that enabled the fight.

I am going to try to carefully comment on this without turning it into the politics thread...when in the US we talk about Affirmative Action it is generally thought of as racial. Intended to give minorities equal job opportunity. Some would consider it as positive discrimination because in effect, the minorities get special treatment in the hiring process. Businesses are looked at to see how many minorities are hired...etc.

I will not speak for Base10 and he may want to comment back, but I think what he is saying is that we should all be treated equally but no matter what your race and gender you still should be the best person for the job.

We went through the same thing you did in WWII. The men went to war and the women built the war machines and did pretty much everything else. Sadly, when the men returned from war, the women were once again relegated to the kitchen.

You, my dear, are as subtle as a chain saw in church :D

Smut first!

Thank you, DS, the most sincere compliment I've received today, so far :D

And hell yeah, porn is sooo educational! Much I have learned. Though still waiting for my plumber visit experience. :(

LMAO!

Fuck, I'm so naive on this kind of naming-positions shit. So, just double penetration but you dudes are high-fiving each other like you're kings of the pussy/arse world?

Can I get another woman, and one of us with a strap-on, and we "Eiffel Tower" you dudes each in turn??? :D
and now back to our regularly scheduled program

:eek::eek::eek::p

I'm always up for a politics chat as long it's with people who have thoughtful, constructive ideas (even if different), and aren't just looking to stir shit up. I especially love these chats with people from around the world (a non-US perspective in my case).

Yes, that I why I said affirmative action in the US is usually taken with a much narrower scope, but it's the same idea.

I'm not saying that people don't sometimes need a push of an extra push, but to truly be accepted in an area where you haven't traditionally been, I believe it can only be on merit (again my thoughts, you are free to disagree, I won't hate you if you do).

I don't have any military experience (and nobody in my family does since WWII), but I think the military does a tremendous job of building a common culture (even though that's not the goal of the military). Sex, race, geographic origin, everyone works for the same goal. You realize people are people, and all are capable of achievement despite being different than you.

Hey guys, thank you for coming in and giving some opinions. Esp Tinny - excellent summary of the thread today :D It all goes tits up when I'm not in the full-blown suck everyone off mood. I know that people expect less talking, and more wanking in this thread. *proud of self*

I'm going to keep quiet on the rest of the conversation as I'm about to disappear again.

Thank you for putting up with my political and economic rants. This is what happens when sex leaves my mind. Will be back to wanking at some point :rose:
