Welcome, kkceohcs.

Just wanted to say I agree wholeheartedly with ANY of your suggestions! I think it should have ended in a "shootout" type of thing, or maybe have the coaches take a few swings as well!

There should NOT be ties in baseball, even in this type of exhibition!

It's times like this that I'm glad that hockey is my favorite team sport!;)

I agree, this is not hockey !!! What a crappy ending, this is not what baseball needs. With all the talk about a strike and teams that can't make payrole. We need to get more people interested in baseball, not more pissed about it.

Finally a little hockey news to bore you with haha...It appears that Tony Amonte has signed with the Phoenix Coyotes....I am surprized by this because I was certain he was going to end up in N.Y. as a Ranger or even a Islander..The coyots can use him though there goalie is pretty good they lack scoring so he should make a good fit ..

Brent Gilchrist has landed in Nashville and should help them out with his experiance ..He was a wing so that is a plus for any team..The preds have some good young players such as Arkhipov,Hartnell, and Legwand...I hope to see them do something this season..This oppertunity gives Gilchrist a chance to play more and have a bigger role on a team ..In detroit he was non existint and he was in Dallas but I bet noone remembers him being there ..

I am betting that Buffalo Sabres will move soon they are in finacial trouble and I smell a move out of town for them ...Keep that in mind it is a prediction that some have made and I feel it will happen..

Ok thats all for now even though it is Base Ball season I am still in a hockey mind set ...Hope you all have a great day and I will be back on in about aweek or two..Take care sports fans and have a great day:)

Woo Hoo

Sorry, If I got carried away about baseball. But I AM a CUB fan, I haven't anything to get excited about since the First night game in Wrigley.

Wings, boo hiss. Is there any other team in the NHL more underacheiving than the BLUES? AT least we stole the Rams from LA for $20Mil.   I'm just not sure who was robbed.

Missing Harry Carey, more everyday.

Hello to you. I think you are right. The only ones making money are the owners. The don't want fans in the seats. They want Corporations to buy boxes up front and buy advertising. The only thing they are interested in is to get the taxpayers to build them a state of the art stadium for $100xxx of mil. so they can use it for 82 days per year. George Steinbrenner bought the Yankees for less an 8mil. Now they are worth 800mil?

I am curious if anyone has any facts regarding the average joe's in the stands wage rate to pay the wages of the entertainers on the field.

Sports, just like the symphony only you get to spill the beer.

LOL... having a state of the art stadium seems to be the big obstacle for getting a NFL team back here.... The Coliseum is a nice facility and with a few upgrades would be first class... But NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO... build another uneeded stadium in a city with an over abundance of venues at the taxpayer expense... F*** that... I will just root for my Bruins and be distantly interested in whats going on in the NFL...

The cost of going to any kind of a game is sky high ... but no is forced to spend the money... but I think that not making things semi-reasonable will hurt in the long run.... hard to raise a child to enjoy the game if you can't afford to ever take them ...I used to love going to see the Rams and Dodgers with my dad.... but this was in the days of Rosie Greer and Sandy Koufax... when a dad could take his child AND buy them a hot dog without going into debt...

Just my 2cents worth of opinonated popping off...LMAO

The new Seattle Seasquawks stadium is done and ready now. The first game there will be a soccer game in two weeks--they are pricing the games so that I don't want to see them. BTW rosie--just got tickets for the OSU-UCLA game at Corvallis on Oct 5th. Go Beavs! AA

Truly worried... The ozone layer must be growning fast if men don't want to talk about sports and other manly pursuits... like cars, and beer and cigars, and scratching... and farting...

LOL

Women talk more than men, this is true even on the mens thread.

We know our place.:p

With all of the women talking (you being the exception KS) it is tough to get a word in edgewise :)

Actually I have just kind of lost interest in baseball since the All-Star debacle. I am now patiently waiting for October to roll around so I can get hockey pumping through my veins again.

I still casually follow baseball, but with an almost certain strike coming up, it is tough to keep interest.

I will applaud Mr. Dolan from Cleveland for coming forth and pointing the finger at George Steinbrenner as being one of the biggest problems in baseball. The rich get richer and the smaller market teams overspend to compete. It is absurd.

Yes they are, but, its a long climb though. They frustrate me so.

Mets

Little steps....they are finally showing some signs of having an offense. It has taken half the year, but maybe they can rattle off 40+ wins like they did in 2000 (personally I would prefer 60 wins :) )
