Is the controversial opinion that the defining characteristics of bagels do not include shape? What’s the counter opinion rationale? Also what the hell would you call bagel dough in non traditional shapes if not bagels? Bagel…buns? Dense, chewy rolls? Deli dough?

This by your definition is hate speech directed at me because of the social identity you are assuming i belong to. By using “privilege” you’re dismissing my opinion based on your preconceived notion of me being a straight white male and all the horrors that come along with that. It would be the same as me saying “of course a gay person would feel that way about…”

Two of the three identity markers are actually in your profile, no assumption needed. And, to be quite honest, it’s almost 100% certainty that you’re white based on the statements you’re making.

It’s not enough for people of privilege to not be racist, to not be bigots, to not be homophobic. We need to be anti-racist, anti-bigotry, anti-homophobic. Being loudly the opposite of this is very telling.

well hopefully there would be push back from others. If it’s deleted right away then it doesn’t let others see what they said and the “crime” is hidden and forgotten. Deleting almost protects the “offender” because it limits who can challenge their point of view.

If you’re ever near me, there is an AMAZING bagel place. It’s about an hour away and in a university town, but sooooo worth the drive.

I'm with you on the de-holed bagel. Definitely less messy.
It would also have stopped an ex girlfriend telling me to 'go fuck a bagel' when I was horny and she wasn't.
