Exactly! I've seen both sides of it... enjoyed the comfort it brought until I no longer conformed. Then I felt the emotional blackmail/shaming/etc. Now I'd rather keep out of "religion" and worship God on my own without acting like a narcissist to anyone who believes differently.

I think if you feel good about doing whatever you are doing for your own beliefs … that’s awesome … but requiring others who DON’T believe what you believe to conform to your beliefs… that’s where my brain goes.. nope, not ok.
