What Are You Listening to Now 7.0

Thanks for the details. So - no Christina - that alone will make it different to Magenta.

I'll keep an eye (and an ear) open for Rob's new release information.

I liked Cyan, and played it a lot. When it morphed into Magenta, I liked it at first, then got bored. Yes, I know - I owe their newer material a few more listens! :)

I saw Magenta live at a ROSfest many years ago, and met Christina briefly. Great stage performance.

At one point the whole band left the stage, and left just Christina and the guitarist (I don't recall his name :( ). He sat on a chair picking on an acoustic guitar, and she curled up on the floor at his feet singing soft, romantic pieces.
Chris Fry has been the long time guitarist.

Yeah, I've always loved Cyan which very nicely morphed into Magenta

Gah!!!

I'm struggling to come up with a legitimate reason to use 'asshat ' in this post to see you crack up......

Oh, I got it!!

So Millie, you get that asshat SiriusXM working again?

yup, switch constantly between genre's 70's, 80's, 90's, rap, easy listen, and a few others. But the asshat died on me for over an hour yesterday.

She said 'asshat.' :D:D

However, when in a music mood being over an hour without music would seriously suck.

I got to experience SiriusXM when I hooked up with slave_ ten years ago. It was great.

We got pissed when SiriusXM suddenly cut their entire LGBT programming as 'they were going in a different direction.'

Nope, couldn't support that.

Pick Me Up Off The Floor - Nora Jones

Will gave me this today; this and 'Live at Ronnie Scotts'. Love that girl's voice

World's Apart

Saga

Cannot believe this album is forty years old today. I was floored when I first heard it. While their fourth album, this was my introduction to Saga, and I've been a huge fan ever since, forty years now apparently

Way before my time. I don't even know if they have an LGBT line of music. I love all music and just drift around between everything. I don't listen to talk radio though, only music.

Lance Bass had a cool music program on OutQ which was the LGBT channel.

Yeah, it was at least five, six years ago that OutQ was cut and all the DJs and show hosts were abruptly given their walking papers.

Shame, it was a great and fun channel. Frank Decaro and Daria Biddle were hysterical.I

Have a great night Millie, happy writing

Close to the Edge

Yes

Fifth Yes album. It was released 49 years ago today, September 13th, 1972. It was their last album with founding drummer Bill Bruford who left to join King Crimson.

I was a fan of her dad's music as well :)

Shankar made the sitar a world class instrument and the influence on the Beatles. I am a huge fan of the Beatles' psychedelic period and that was largely due to Shankar

Hope you are healing well

Ihsahn : The Adversary

I'm sure no one here cares for this music :) but if you have any interest, I'll post my interview with Ihsahn from over a decade ago...

I'm a huge Emperor fan and in awe how Ihsahn has evolved his music since, but actually sitting down and digesting it? I'm afraid I'm short a couple dozen IQ points. I did like his guest feature on the first Jeff Loomis solo record.
