What Are You Listening to Now 7.0

LITFAN10 - I've listened to the new Cyan twice (so far).

I like the instrumentals and the songwriting.

Sadly, I'm turned off by the vocals, which I think are sub-par.

I'll give it a few more spins, and hope it changes my mind.

Not sure why I blew this off when I first got it, several years ago. It's quite nice! Gentle, pleasant songs, very well performed, decent songwriting, moderately complex - but above all, very easy on the ear.

I need to spin it a few more times.

Interesting. I first heard Peter Jones when he sang two songs on Barock Project's breathtaking album Detachment. I was floored both by the entire album and by Jones' contribution. I still feel Detachment is one of the best prog albums of this century hands down.

I've since picked up some of Jones' Tiger Moth Tales stuff and enjoyed it all.
I guess that predesposes me to liking it going in

Granted, I will probably play Magenta more than the new Cyan, but I do like the new Cyan definitely more than the original Cyan.

Cheers, happy music listening and heal!

Damn, I really like this! I've had it for years, and didn't know it.

I'll be (re)spinning it a few times tomorrow, while I work (IF I get a gap between meetings).

Gap between meetings? Man, that was a short vacation!

Father's Song -- The Artist Known In The Movie as The Kid.

Really wonderfully peaceful piece.

The title of my recent series, The Light And The Fire, came from a lyric in that song; one of the characters was named for the song itself.
