A different reason but I’ve experienced your reasons as well on Lit. I don’t want to get into it openly. I’m mysterious that way and enjoy an occasional cryptic post ever once in a while.

My Great Nan used to say once you lose your mystery you can never get it back, so being mysterious is certainly not a bad thing

I, a singular woman, don't particularly care about mystery in any person I engage with.
All that matters for a conversation is that I find the person interesting and that we share some commonalities on which we can connect.
