When I first moved in with my girlfriend she had a cozy basement apartment. After we got married it got less cozy and would flood with heavy rain. I also (true story!) worked in a company that was also in a basement and IT flooded with heavy rain! Also, in wintertime I felt like I never saw the sun.

To this day I twitch at the memories!
