Any more Sci Fi fans her?

But you know SciFi, they have a way of bringing folks back from the dead. Look at Daniel Jackson on SG-1, he's died like, what, 10 or twelve times now?

Did you watch the webisodes on SciFi.com? I'm glad they did them or the premier would have made no sense whatsoever.

Did anyone catch the new SciFi show SciFi Investigates? They have a few people, including Rob Mariano from Survivor look into diferent things. The premier was on voodoo. Lets hope that the show gets better, cause I thought it was pretty lame.

yes I watched them and rewatched before the show started that night.. I agree I'm glad they did them also. I think Daniel as actually only really died once..when he accended.. but I might be wrong about that

Actually he dies a few time but id brought back by the sarcophogus(so?)

mostly in the fisrt two seasons.

He is also the one who gets hurt the most

/but the thing is when he acends he really dosen't die.

Teal'c is the one who seems to get captured the most and Jack gets posessed the most

CArter is the one who usually figures out how to get them out of the mess.

Although it was funny in "Window of opportunity when Jack and TEal'C had to figure things out for once

I forgot about the use of the sarcophagus those times..

Well Battlestar pulled it off last night.. great show.. and they didn't kill the ones it looked like were gonna get it without being cheesy.. nice use of flashbacks also.. I'm glad Ellen was found out.. I don't care for her character at all even less than Baltar.. she's a user.. Looks like Adama's fixing to kick Cylon ass also..

Dr. Who was great also.. Anyone watch the Threshold premiere?

*shrieks* Don't spill more on Battlestar..PLEASE!!!

I don't have cable, so if a friend of mine remembers, she's taping it for me. If not I have to wait for the DVDs. *pouts*

*throws darts at Ellen* I hated her the moment she stepped foot on the Galactica.

I'm sorry.. didn't mean to give away any spoilers.. I'll be more careful..

Greats:

Stargate (SG-1) - Yes, Daniel dies, but they never allude to him staying that way to pull strings. Macgyver redeemed himself in this role hehe.

Firefly - I love Joss Whedon.

Star Trek (TNG and DS9) - TNG is classic goodness. DS9 added more feelings of war and reality to the show, and the emmissary role was different from other Star Treks.

Battlestar Galactica (only the new one) - It's slow going when waiting for one a week, but if you and your friends get together for a marathon, well, that's one hell of a nerd party. Gaea(s) Baltar and his visions, the different religious aspects between the cylons and the humans, the mythical earth (which better not be 1985 when they find it lol), etc. I love it all.

Lesser ones like:
4400
Invasion
Stargate (Atlantis) - Come on, it's unoriginal, but it doesn't have to compete with 3 other stargate shows or movies like Star Trek does with itself.

Star Trek (Voyager) - I watched, I enjoyed it for what it was, but it was a rip off of TNG and so unoriginal. God I hated Janeway. They tried to make her Picard + female romantic boring crap. Jeri Ryan was there for her breasts. I enjoyed them immensely, but not her character.

I know. We've been discussing the possiblities of gods vs the Cylon god and I still submit the fact that Six made a booboo one episode when she talked about god creating them. Err...wouldn't that mean the humans are their god?

lol..it's a great series to debate on. *pouts* I can't wait to see Season Three. Rented 2.5 so I can catch up with that.

I agree, thelast episode of Galactice was very well done. I would love to say more, but don't want to spoil.

Was the Threshold show any good, didn't catch it, but I amy TiVo it this week. Was it worth watching? Couldn't really figure out what it was about from the previews.

i watched teh first 30 min then had to leave. Ir looked pretty good but I was distracted enough that I'mnot sure the exact premise. I'm gonna rewatch it tonight.

Set it to TiVo on Friday, I guess we'll see. I even broke down and set it for SciFi investigates again. Hopefully, this will be better.

Did anyone catch the Ghost Hunters season premier?

I missed but this week looks like it might be good. Their trailers are like movie trailers.. their show you all the good stuff then you get top pay to see the credits.

In general, I like the show, although I am a huge skeptic about such things. I just find it odd that the things they apparently find are never actually caught on film. It seems as though all of their proof is in ersonal experiences. My wife is a true believer though, and swears that it's all real.

They did a big episode on a tuberclosis asylum not far from where we live that I am thinking of taking her to. Supposedly one of the most haunted places that they have ever been to.

I saw that episode.. they did catch some things on film.. mainly infared but was pretty erie.. I believe they're are things out there just not that it's people's spirits.. we don't stay here when we die. I personally think it's demons messing with people and with with them.

My wife agrees with you. Me, I guess that I'm more of a "have to see it to believe it type person." But hey, I could be wrong. Actually, with my history, probably am wrong!

Agreed about Galactica.. One thing I'd like is is they'd clear up a few threads and simplifiy the story line.. They may surprise me but I can't see them killing off the ones it looks like they are going to.. but then this is sci fi so you never know..

Hmm. The writers are still insisting that at least one or two major Galactica characters won't survive the season. Somehow, I doubt it'll be Baltar, largely because he's the one who deserves it most. At a guess, they're setting up the Chief and Kallie, but who knows. :)

Honestly, the convoluted storyline is what keeps bringing me back. That's the same thing I loved about B5. But, then again, I probably read too many novels (is there such a thing?). *shrug*

I loved B5 also.. Top me it got a bit weak toward the end but still overall a very good show. Nice follow up movies also.. but they felt like they were forced..

Just watched the Bigfoot episode of SciFi investigates. Another lame one. I think that this series is doomed to die a quick and painful death.

I agree,, haven't been impressed at all with it.. Hope SciFi puls the plug sooner than later.. They put that crap on and pull SG-1..

my 2 cents...

always been a big Star Wars fan...like Deep Space 9 as well...i like Cisco (if anyone is old enough to remember he used to be on a show in the 80's called Spencer for Hire and was badass). I never got to see Firefly but i recently saw Serenity and loved it and am now sorry I missed the show...seems anything of Joss Whedon's that is good gets cancelled.

I will admit that I'm one of the super geeks...I love Star Wars tabletop rpg. Haven't played for a long time but it was lots of fun.

BG was awesome last night.. Both Adama's kicked Cylon ass all over the place.. was cool what teh Old man did with the Galactica to start the attack..

Not to mention Farscape. I'm still frellin' mad about that one.

You too? I think the last time I played was a good six, seven years ago. The WEG version.

I think that was possibly one of the best moments in the episode. Though I've gotten the feeling that Galactica's trying to break B5's record for most ships on screen at once in a TV series. :)

He was certainly a badass in that show. Hawk was his name I believe. I always liked him, but thought they could have picked a better Spencer.

I'm starting to hate that show. It always seems to end too soon. For a minute there, I thought that Starbuck was going to be the one to die.

It was an awesome episode. Friday night just never seems to come fast enough.

OK, not to sound like a complete idiot, but what the hell is B5?
