What genre of music is your go-to for a good mood? What song cheers you up?

I've got a playlist on my iPhone of about 50 songs I just love, so I usually go to that when I'm feeling low energy and down. In order, I start with one of these three songs and then let in randomly shuffle. The genre is predominantly rock or alt rock.

What genre of music is your go-to for a good mood? What song cheers you up?

It’s easier for me to say what I don’t like or listen to on a regular basis (country and classical). My tastes are SO all over the place. Growing up, it was punk and ska. Now it’s everything and a lot of that is admitting to myself some pop is genuinely good and being exposed to new stuff by friends and spin instructors. My Spotify playlists are pretty extensive and music is very important to me. A lot of it speaks to me when I need it most and when I meet people that don’t really have a passion for it, it’s hard for me to connect with them.

Right now, to feel good I listen to some Robyn or Lizzo. Some Taylor. And I’m angry a lot so listen to punk and hip hop that’s more political. If you care to know more, you can ask!

Music in general puts me in a good mood, i am an 80s tragic but love all kinds of music from heavy metal to soppy love songs lol.
A band that always makes me feel good is The Waifs, they are a folky, rocky kind of band and their song Take it all in always lifts my mood. My favourite music ranges from Live, Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, to Chicago and chilli peppers to cold chisel or Joss Stone, foo fighters to Metallica. I could go on and on but i wont
