Pmann discusses Lit Economics- Demand for P vs V

Maybe... Mental masturbation is closely related with Mental Gymnastics?

Our Brains Love Mental Gymnastics

“Mental gymnastics” happen when our brains spiral into destructive thought patterns—making up excuses or arguments for unjustifiable decisions or situations.

In other words, they’re “all the thoughts that are within play to keep you from doing that exact thing you need to do,” psychotherapist Shemena Johnson, Psy.D., L.M.F.T., explains to Shine.

mental gymnastics

The act of trying to justify actions or validate opinions not supported by any facts. A means of dealing with cognitive dissonance.
"Hey Jessica, you're really pretty today."
"Oh so you're saying that yesterday I was looking like shit. Also you're saying that because I'm a white fit woman. That makes you a pathetic misogynist and racist. Let's not mention the fact that if I didn't pander to your sexuality, I would be called unattractive and ugly. You, John, are a dumbass and a patriarchal pig, do you know how stressful it is to be a woman and having to look sexy 24 7 just so men get horny in this society? You don't, because you are such a privileged white male."
"Wow Jessica that was some serious mental gymnastics you did right there..."

Or... 🤓🤔
I think you are right, but in the example, if guy 1 wants to change his stars, he needs to quit mentally masturbating about it and get back in the game and move forward

So why are we saying this like it’s a bad thing? We are all here fucking off because we don’t want to do something else?
Are we? Lit is full of masturbation. Acknowledging and owning what you do is part of the experience.

Boutique = unattainable

The challenge of the chase, the predator and the prey.

That is the same for both sexes.

Sure, woman have more opportunity for dick because there is so much attainable dick out there. That is the low grade stuff. If society didn’t judge women who are open about wanting and liking sex, the ratio would be nearer in number.

Men do get the better deal when it comes to finding a “unicorn”. Women tend to be more loyal so once they have found somebody who they are compatible with, they tend to latch on quite quickly and are more likely to stay faithful to that person. Men are very good at saying all the right things until the next best thing comes along.

Wow this is very interesting. Are these legitimate artifacts? Assyrians don’t exist anymore do they?
Assyrians do still exist, but not the ancient kind in the way that modern Greeks aren't the same as ancient Greeks. Speaking of Greeks, the second set of artifacts seems to be more their style, but anyway, the Syriacs, the Chaldeans, the Aramaens: they all trace their origins to ancient Assyrians, as well as the early Christian churches that sprung up in the later Roman period.

We're used to the idea of cultures having distinct nation-states these days, but they don't have one. Many live in northern Iraq and Syria, and have suffered through the wars and instability there, many fleeing overseas.

But anyway, the top artifact also isn't Assyrian :cathappy: It seems to be from a temple in Khajuraho, an Indian city famed for the erotic art in its temples
