I could use another coffee. Thanks Angel.

I hope you like your coffee this way...........wasn't to sure how you like it......you are welcome.

Rosie I am not a Dodgers hater I used to love them when I was a young kid and played ball I used to think Steve Garvey was cool and have been a fan of theres for along time now ..It is nice to see them doing so well again good luck to your team and I hope they keep it up..Well Dom is still debating rather to come back or retire but i wish he would hurry his ass up so if he leaves we can get Cujo or Belfour..There is a good chance that Chelli will not be back but honestly if we have a chance to pick up guerin who cares not that I don't like Chelli but what are the chances of his old ass having another great year like this one ..Lets see the Tigers won a game last night surprize surprize I can't believe they didn't give the game away like they always do when they have a lead..Well take care all and have a good day:)

I would just like you to take a minute to say a prayer for Darryl Kile..It is a tragady that someone so young lost his life ..I cannot believe he was only 33 thats my age and it is kinda scary and makes you remember to live each day as if its your last...They say it was a blockage of arteries ..I think I will get myself a checkup soon...In memory Of Darryl Kile:(

DK

I was at the Braves-White Sox game in Atl Saturday when they said he'd died.
Scary, since I'm 28 , which ain't that far from 33. They're calling it a coronary artery blockage, which is a fancy phrase for a heart attack. I'm guessing he blocked off his LAD coronary artery, usually called the "widowmaker" heart attack. Sad story. That's the kinda thing that's not supposed to happen til you're 65 or so....

Ok, now this is a post I can get into.

I got a simple question with an answer I have been looking for for quite sometime.

Why do some women shave off their eye brows, then proceed to pencil them back in?

Just curious about this one.

Dom announced his retirement today and I for one respect him for his decision he came here to win a cup and thats what he did ..Being one of the best Goalies ever I am honored that he came here to play for us and for thinking that we were his best shot at obtaining his goal..I think he made the right choice to retire because he can leave on top and not have to play part time next season..I hope he enjoys life back home where he is hailed a hero and there are some here who consider him one to ..Now who will be the new goalie in town will it be cujo who is prone to letting in soft goals or maybe Belfour who has some personal problems that might not gel with the wings or are the wings what he needs to get back on top of his game and then there id Dafoe from boston who I do not know much about ..Oh well should be interesting to see who ends up in net..Have a great day all :)

Well he got his Stanley cup, now he can leave. I am not a big fan of that. I realize he went there with the sole goal of winning the cup, but now he has won his cup, won his trophys, won his medals. Now he can go "HOME" to the Czech Republic.

Pisses me off to "earn" millions of dollars here and then go "HOME"

I agree Meljr2. Welcome to the new world of sports. It looks like baseball will be shutting down due to a strike. The players want us to feel sorry for them and I for one think they are a bunch of over paid babies. Don't get me wrong they deserve to make a living but how much money is enough? What about playing for the love of the game. What about staying in a city that gave you a chance and not running for the first big pay check?

Like Tony Gwynn and Cal Ripken Jr?.... those are good guys... the game lost two great ones last year.... Me? I hate the idea of a strike.... they get paid way too much in the majors.... IMHO

I agree Rosie, the concept of a strike in MLB is preposterous. What, Since A-rod got a quarter of a billion (yes BILLION) dollar contract, now the rest of the world thinks they need more money. I hate to burst a bubble here but any amount of millions to play a game is over paid. Especially over the cof a 162 game season.

What possibly can the players union be complaining about??? If anyone should strike baseball is should be the fan that is going bankrupt to see his favorite team 2 or 3 times a year.

Boy I must be in a bad mood tonight :)

I know... that nearly happened the last time they struck.... but then we had the McGwire-Sosa hitting duel and people seemed to forget about the strike... I haven't been to a Dodger game since the last strike.... and I don't plan on going, especially if the players do strike again.... I can't afford a Dodger game these days, unless I get free tickets... but the cost of a couple of waterdowned beers and a couple of hot dogs are outrageous.... and its not just in baseball.... basketball is just as bad... and I am sure football would be too.. if we had a pro team in LA.... LOL... so as far as football goes... I guess I just have to stay with the Bruins.... Go UCLA.....

Even the prices for hockey games are high. But the players have to be paid somehow. And by us going to the games, that's how they get the money...it is a catch 22

True Mel.... but I guess it dosen't matter much if I do or not... lots of people here in LA are willing to pay any price.... Me? I am cheap... and poor.... gotta be for someone or something special to get me out the ballpark these days...

Come on Guys Dom needed the cup to complete a brilliant carrer and we needed him to win us a cup seems fair to me...If your team got him in the same situation I don't think you all would be so down on him.As far as Baseball goes when did all of this high price stuff happen what I remember as a kid was a guy by the name of Dave Winfield not wanting to play unless they gave him Xamount of dollars not to say he was the first just the first I remember and boy did me and my friends hate that guy..Funny thing I mentioned how I liked the /dodgers and Steve Garvey was my fav well last night I was watching Just shoot me and sure enough he was on it and Nina yelled to him to bad you retired before ball players made real money I don't know it was just funny to me..Take care friends and have a great day..:)

Did any of you all pay attention to the NBA draft last night?

As a laker fan I have to say I think we definetly improved the team last night. The question is how much. I don't think Kareem Rush will have a problem playing with Shaq and Kobe because his big weakness that was exposed this past season was he struggles when defenses focus on him. Playing with those two he's going to get a LOT of open shots and he's up there with Nachbar and Dunleavy as one of the top pure shooters in this draft.

It's still The Lakers VS the Kings for the championship, LA has got to resign Brian Shaw since they traded Lindsay Hunter and they have a decision to make about signing Devean George and Mitch Richmond as well as if they are going to keep Robert Horry but I like what we did last night.

The heat had a flawless draft. Rasual Butler is a great shooter and a good second round pick but Caron Butler dropping to 10 is reprehensible. Taking nothing away from Dunleavy but the Warriors made the wrong pick.

Yao Ming...eh I don't think this guy is really going to be a notable NBA player. He'll stick in the league but it's going to take him time before he contributes. I think he's going to be bust Rik Smits aspirations are too much for him in my opinion. But Bastian Nachbar was a nice pickup for the Rockets. He won't be as good as Stojakovic or Turkoglu but he'll be close and a good player.

Am I the only one who thinks the Timberwolves got a decent PG/SG in Marcus Taylor. I know this word is overused but he's got a lot of upside and he's not a bad player. He's the same type of PG as Chauncey Billups and if he improves he's a steal.

Sorry Shaq living in Detroit and not being a huge Basketball fan I payed no attention at all to the draft ...As far as sports go I am strickly a huge hockey fan with some football thrown in on sundays...I do like to watch the lakers tho they are my fav team as far as B.B. goes..Also enjoy watching the X games because from 12 to 22 I was a skateboarder big time but got a nasty knee injury which ended that and my hockey playing days ...Take care sports fans and have a great day:)

The Bulls are the team to watch in the next few years. Curry, Chandler, and Williams are a championship nucleus in a post O'Neal era. Shaq's not going to be there forever and when he leaves the league makeup changes immedietly.

The Clippers are currently my second favorite team cause they have my second favorite player (Lamar Odom) but they continue to make me go huh with their picks. Unless they plan to package Melvin Ely to get Baron Davis or Andre Miller I have no idea why they would draft 2 power fowards in the lottery when they already have an all-star calibur PF.

The Grizzlies also made me wonder why they continue to draft players at the same position. Gasol, Battier, and Gooden are 1-3 their best players all Small Forwards in my opinion.

The Wizards had a suspect 17th pick with Juan Dixon. Though that is high for a guy who's a tweener I think he'll work out and he'll emerge as a solid player who makes a winning contribution for the team. I think it's a good pick. Jared Jeffries is too but I think they should have look past the past and taken Quntel Woods but they did well in my opinon.

The Knicks are definetly back. Antonio Mcdyss could flourish in NY and Frank Williams was the 2nd best PG in the draft imo.

Still, I think the Lakers dynasty extends another year....

I don't know about another year.... maybe... depends alot on how healthy Shaq's and Kobe stay....The were taken to the wall by Sacramento... and I think big men like Shaq just have naturally shorter carreers... Hauling all that body around the floor is alot of wear and tear on the muscloskeletal system... We shall see.. but for some reason I really don't see another parade next June in LA.... Just my opinion...

What do you think about the Rockets drafting the big Chinesse guy?... personally I think it's unlikely he will live up to the hype... theres a lot of difference playing for the national team of China than the NBA....I don't know if he really has the skills... but he seems to be really agile for such a big man...

Sacramento did play the lakers to the end...but I happen to be one of those believers in psychology and I wonder if they may have a complex now where deep down they self destruct when the game is on the line...I also don't know if they will even get to LA because the Mavs are a team that could upset the Kings if enough buckets go there way...

I think the Rockets made a move they had to do...he's 7'5 and it's hard to pass that up...but I think he will suck...he's 282 but has to put on more weight because he's a bean pole with no upper body strength...he's slow as hell and he doesn't look to be playing at professional speed to me....I hink he'll get beaten up a lot and won't be much of a factor...

The Bulls are the team that I think really have improved the last two years...I think they could reign in the East within 3 years....

Gotta think that the Chinese guy will surprise people, not only is he tall he can hit a shot from the outside. he doesn't have to be in the paint to get his points. Can't say that about most big men in the NBA. He will have to add some muscle to compete, but I would expect him to do that with no problem. He will probably be a disappointment his first year making the adjustment, etc, But after that..watch out.

So do you guys think the Nets were a fluke this year or will Martin, Kidd, and the rest of the crew be able to make it back to the finals again?
