Jedi would you perhaps help me out with my Jedi's bio then?

Please?

I'll beg on my knees if I must :p

Sure, I'll help DK.

As for everyone starting out around each other...well, you'll understand once I put up my first post. But I have to write the darn thing first.

Jumping in at the last minute!

Name: Aliph Tomaar

Age: 43 (average lifespan 134 years)

Sex: Male

Race: Bimm (the furred, less-human type)

Race Attributes: diminutive humanoid (short people), goatlike features (long triangular floppy ears, small black eyes, tall gaunt faces, three long fingers and thumb on each hand, like a goat cross humanoid).

The language Bimmini, used by both species of Bimm, is sung rather than spoken. A Bimm conversation has a seemingly mystical quality, sounding to Human ears like songs being sung in five-part harmony.

The Bimms consisted of two species which are completely unrelated biologically but share language and cultural identity. Reputation as a peaceful, hospitable people but some of the best-known Bimms in galactic history went against their people's stereotypical, inoffensive demeanor.

Occupation: Previously a candidate for Jedi training, currently a smuggler.

Appearance: 3'7" (about 109cm), short jet-black fut all over his body except for hands, feet and face. Has a few small crisscrossing scars on his forehead.

Weapons: blaster pistol, long knife, Stun baton built into the end of a short staff which has small rings set in it to hook on other equipment and always carries a small lamplike torch.

He has a small transport which is lightly armed with a single gun turret. Aliph has added extra layers to the interior walls and floor (making the inside small, fine for a Bimm) and uses the space inbetween the real and fake surfaces (about 2ft deep) to smuggle illegal or dangerous goods. The ship also has bulky plating on the back, designed to blow off and break away scattering small mines in the event of tractor beam lock (preventing the pursuers from following for a short time).

Character Background: Aliph was ill at ease on his homeworld Bimmisaari. Like most of his kind he enjoyed practices of business and the promise of good trade, but unlike most Bimm he didn't mind taking greater risks and inciting conflict close a deal.

Aliph was discovered by a Jedi visiting Bimmisaari and taken to the training grounds for assessment. Though his sensitivity to the force was on par with many of the other candidates, he showed far too much interest in material possesions and affairs of business for the Jedi to believe that his mind would stay focused on other goals.

Aliph was returned to his home system untrained and without master. Before reaching home, Aliph traded all he had and booked passage on an outbound flight, the beginning of his career as a merchant.

Over the years Aliph has lost nearly a dozen ships, some to the hazards of space travel, others to double-crossing traders or hired hitmen. After a while he learned to be very careful about conducting his business and began flying below the radar where possible to avoid known crimelords. Since then he has managed to keep his current transport ship, the Lazy Meteor, for some time.

I thought it would be more interesting to play a non-human who wasn't a jedi/sith but had a more ordinary day-to-day job instead.

ALSO, IM TINY!!! WOOHOO!!

How is the new Bio Jedi? Satisfactory I hope, I couldn't really think of anything else to write

You might want to consider the fact that the age for starting training is somewhere between infancy and Episode I Anakin Skywalker age, so I'm thinking somewhere between the ages of 3 and 5, well before the children have time to really get to know their parents and develop memories regarding them.

So just let come in, talk to his parents and take him away, none of the little signs that would indicate a connection to the Force. OK gotcha

Well, look at Episode I. Anakin standing before the Jedi Council is the only record that I know of that would indicate an "entrance exam" to qualify for training in the Order. The Jedi that come might test the child like one would test a toddler's ability to read, simple and not really intensive.

However, Yoda originally declared Anakin as being too old to begin the training despite having passed the "test" with flying colors. How one was choosen for Jedi training in the time of the Old Republic has never really been covered, so I can't really give you a definitive answer aside from the fact that the kid has to be really young and have an affinity for the Force.

Okay, so aside from people adjusting their character details what needs doing? When are we starting? Where's the IC thread?

Just wondering. Wookiepedia doesn't mention if the Bimm are vegetarian or not. Does anyone know? I'm assuming yes at the moment just based on social and physical traits.

Yeah, I figure the Bimms (at least the furred kind) to be vegetarian, maybe fruit eaters.

Really? A Ssi-Ruu? You do realize that their existence is unknown prior to the Battle of Bakura, shortly after the destruction of the second Death Star and that they are rather xenophobic to boot, right?
