The Old Republic: A new Era (limited spaces) *OOC*

I just seem to lose points with Aton all the time, but that little maiden girl that you find on the snowy world? I keep gaining a lot of points with her. Don't know what I do right

Hahaha yeah and in the end when you get to fight Revan and that Battle meditation chick it also seems that you need to have a good standing with her, to save the day or else you need to put her out of commission

Must be. I can just remember about saving somebody if you have a good trust with them

Yeah, Bastila is the battle mediation chick from the first game, and she gets captured and turned to the dark side by Darth Malak. When you encounter her on the Star Forge, you either redeem her, after which she uses her battle mediation to turn the tide of the battle in your favor, or you kill her.

And then you go after Malek and I think you have a choice there too. Depending on which one you choose you either save the Empire or you rule over the Sith

Damn it's been way too long, I should play the game again

Save the Republic, but yeah, that's the idea. I found that fight against Malak to be as tough as hell, especially when he used those bodies that were in statis chambers around him to revitalize himself.

Wasn't there some way to destroy the bodies? I can remember doing something like that or you attacked him as he was busy revitalizing himself. Something like that

Yeah, you could either use the bodies to revitalize yourself or release them from the chambers, at which point they were rendered unusable by Malak. That choice depended on which side of the Force you were on.

But even after freeing the bodies, I found it next to impossible to survive for long against Malak. I think I spent most of my time using med packs and the like.

Yeah it is quite a tough act, I think I released around half of the bodies and ran out of med packs. I won that battle only once. Maybe that is why I stopped playing LOL

I never beat him legitimately. Had to use a code so I could last long enough.

I blamed it on having the max level capped at 20 in that game, whereas there didn't seem to be a cap in the second game.

I agree with that, I mean if they wanted to make it challenging there were better ways than that. Make the xp needed per level higher or something like that.

But I'm off to the farm, I may or may not be on later to check up on the posts. Peace

Why don't you go ahead and put up a post for your Jedi that covers a couple of days of activities. It'll take about that long for Jodo to get from Eriadu to Dantooine (hyperspace travel isn't instantenous, you know, and he is traveling from the other side of the galaxy).

Just for reference, here's a map of the Outer Rim.

Jodo is currently on Eriadu (grid M-18 on the map), and his destination will be Dantooine (L-4).

For now hiding. I was thinking of leading my Sith hunter there and have them exchange blows before deciding to work together seeing that they are both fleeing from the Sith

Might you be needing a tracker to find him in the first place? Especially one that can read the memories and impressions left on objects? Mwahahaha.

If so just mention it and I'll have her jump into a public place near you, ready for the hiring.

Well like I said it's been a while, but the droid sound like the main character's assassin droid. He has this nasty habit of wanting to kill everybody until you fix him

Not quite. He doen't have the urge to kill, he has just lost almost all record of who he was supposed to serve and so is not sure who his mater is, but has an inkling of an idea. Small fragments of data regarding force users in general still exist in his mind, thus the recognition of the smoking jedi temple and it's importance.

He wasn't talking about your droid character, War. He was talking about HK-47 from the game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, on which I'm basing one of the droids owned by my character.

Ah, apologies. I knew he was referring to the behavior from a KOTOR game but jumped the gun a bit with the "damaged killer droid" description and thought he was comparing to my character.

Also the idea is for my Sith Hunter character to actually stumble onto the Jedi because both are running from the Sith :)

Jedi I can't actually write anything with Gavriel until most of the searches and stuff have calmed down.

I am going to let Kevin escape the Sith though :)

It would take several years IC time for the searches to calm down, DK. Besides, hiding in a cave surrounded by glowing crystals that are filled with the Force for long extended periods of time can't be good for the health.

Well from what I read IC the battle between the Sith and Jedi at the temple is still raging. Let that at least draw to a close and then Gavriel can wander out of the cave with ears ringing from too much crystal talk

hey im sorry i haven't got an IC post up family problems and school ill try and do something tomorrow no promises though cause i have serious writers block.

after beating kotor 2 i started over and cheated two characters to have master jedi and sith robes one full light side one full dark side... i cant decide which i like better though...

My suggestion: the speed of plot. We all know what happens at the temple (the Jedi are slaugthered), and that bounty hunter is out for the count, so why not skip past the battle and go to the aftermath. The Sith dude will be surveying the carnage when he gets his next orders, and the bounty hunter will wake up somewhere (your choice) with one hell of a headache.

And DK, that's why I said do a post with several days of activities for the Jedi. The battle will have been long since over, and the Emperor would have had his speech by then. In fact, while Jodo is on his way to Dantooine, I'll have him listen to the Emperor's speech and then reflect on that.

ok will type up something. maybe coming across the gang as they threaten a farmer
