Our country's fetishizing of guns is revolting

This is why you are viewed as an asshole.

Good luck with your new career.
Of course you are viewed as a gentleman and a scholar 🤣

You not being able to acknowledge a simple truth is not my issue.

I'm not the one who cannot acknowledge a simple truth - GUNS are not the problem. Nor are they "part" of the problem. THE problem is the human factor. It consists of those who are mentally ill and those who lie about it for personal gain or pleasure.

Good luck dealing with that in your new career.

That is simply incorrect. If it were, we would not be discussing how the suspect got hold of a gun. We wouldn't be discussing how guns are stolen and serial numbers removed and the black market for them

That is part of the discussion because guns are a part of the problem.

The police would handle mass casualty events differently if they had a knife or explosives. The most common instrument is guns....mass access to handguns both legal and illegal cause different issues than knives or blunt instruments...specifically the ease of use to kill.

Yes, people using the guns to murder are also part of the problem.

And as long as you ignore the complete picture of murders, you will be unable to address what leads to them

The amount of pretzel twisting dipshits go through to ignore it is astonishing.

Good luck dealing with that in your new career.
Wtf? Lol

dudly, millions of people "get ahold of a gun" every day and THEY don't shoot anyone with it. Nor do "guns" fly off the shelves and shoot people all by themselves.

IT'S NOT THE GUNS, it's YOU who are the problem.

You are the one with the gun fetish. You believe that guns can make you invincible. You believe that guns make you powerful. You believe that guns make you superman and unstoppable. Conversely, you are also the one who believes that guns are objects of terror.

This is a mental instability issue on your part. YOU are the problem. YOU.

Your refusal to accept that guns are inanimate objects and tools, and instead attempt to blame those inanimate objects, and/or the owners of those inanimate objects, for YOUR mental instability and fetish issues is irresponsible.

YOU are the problem.

So take your repeated bullshit somewhere else because it doesn't fly here even among those who are as mentally unstable as you are.

IT'S NOT THE GUNS,

You’re right. It’s not the guns.
I guess that’s why we see cops wear bulletproof vests as part of their uniform. Ya know, because of the danger from hang nails and paper cuts and such. 🙄

I guess I’m unstable because I’m buying the bs. And it’s not that 1174 is more persuasive but more that your simplistic argument is, um, simplistic.

I’ve reason to doubt your lawyerlism but I imagine that if you actually were one then you only handled simple wills and name changes and even then it came with the joking caveat from your colleagues as they handed over a case to you of: “Here ya go, Courtney… (and yeah, I imagine you to have an androgynously bland and ambiguous name like that or Pat or Billie with an ‘ie’)… Mrs. Smith is getting divorced and needs to return to her maternal name of Smith. Can ya handle that without f’in it up?”

I don't believe that.

I know that in regards.to available weapons in America, guns are by far the most accessible in ability to cause mass harm. And you know that too.

This is a mental instability issue on your part. YOU are the problem. YOU.
Acknowledging contributors to mass casualty events is not a form of mental instability.

Guns kill more people, purposely, by far than any other weapon in the US.

Cars are a method of transport and do so by accident, rather than purpose.

I am not denying that guns are tools nor that they are inanimate.objects. you are refusing to accept that those objects kill many people because people use them.

YOU are the problem.
I am not.

Yes, you refuse to acknowledge simple facts and blame me for not refusing to.

Simplistic is correct. If I say that a car can be maintained simply by changing the tires twice a year, I am only addressing one thing about a car. There is the oil, gas, carburator, spark plugs, batteries....etc. Each contributes to a system and each is important. Some more than others.

I have a few old open end wrenches which I have to scold from time to time. I do not blame them, however.

I must confess that I threw one of the across the garage one time….

I may have called it a motherfucker, also.
The toxic combination of both anger management issues AND a small arsenal of semiautomatic weapons.
Only a matter of time until he visits a local elementary school.

*nods sadly*

In 2022 there were 42,000 Americans killed by automobiles. So, were cars the problem?
I've been over this.

Cars are made to be transport vehicles. They kill people by accident and over many years we have reduced the number of people killed in those accidents by addressing the vehicles.

Guns are made to kill. They kill people on purpose and over many years we have increased their ease of use and ability to kill more efficiently which have increased the number of people being killed by guns.

Guns are part of the problem.

Cars are a big part of the problem. However, the large number of road deaths is also caused by bad infrastructure--wide, straight roads that encourage drivers to speed, plus a lack of bike paths, sidewalks, and other transit options. That's why so many of us are passionate about both gun control and building walkable cities.

Car accidents kill people

We address the cars to make them safer because we understand they are part of the problem that causes those deaths.

Road design contributes. We've had decades of building roads that allow drivers to drive faster. Narrow , twisty roads save lives. We don't need to ban cars, we just need to make driving more inconvenient and provide more alternatives so people don't feel like they need to drive everywhere.

Assault cars and monster trucks.

It's the monster part that's the problem. The Left believes that guns automatically turn a gun owner into an uncontrollable monster akin to Godzilla when it attacks Tokyo - unstoppable and all powerful with no regard to what gets smashed or killed.

I guess that's what watching horror flicks in the dark does to some minds. It turns the mentally weak into illogical vegetables afraid of their own shadows.

Figured you were losing the case for cars so a convenient switch to Japanese monster movies was in order? 🤷‍♀️

A reminder that Godzilla serves as a warning to post World War II Japan and the world on the horrors of the indiscriminate use of weapons and the hundreds of thousands of Japanese civilian citizens killed by use of a heretofore unknown and unregulated weapon of mass destruction.

Wat has seen all the bullshit "Wat's gonna snap" shit. Wat keeps waiting and watching. Body count for the year is still 0. Same as last year.

No fucking idea how that happens.

There are (at least) six rifles I have a hankerin' to own. In addition to more anvil rifles for sale.

Libturbs would shit themselves if I bought the lot in one order . . . .
