So....

Since I seized the stick, as I am wont to do, I shall attempt to participate. Because she's fairly open I think I knew a significant portion of Honey's kinks before I knew her first name. At this moment I'm surprise but I think I do know that but I could be entirely wrong because I'm horrible with names on and offline. But oddly I think this one stuck with me and in this case I kind of think honey is more apt but I think that's because I knew her as honey longer.

QUE!

Have you abandoned the dark side? Awesome!

I agree with you, Honey is such a good name for her!!! Wild Honey is more apropos at times! 😂

Dribble did. He, from time to time gets lonely when his dribble is universally ignored and seeks my attention.

I am an attentive guy once I decide to focus.

How you been, Honey? I really should get out into the countryside more often like this. I can feel the fresh air already.

I'm thinking of having the GB tested for radon gas black mold and toxic building syndrome.

There is NO fresh air at the bottom of the valley

Wait. What?

I remember yours, too. ;)

WARNING! Que does not give the talking stick back. You will have to wrangle it from him.

Good luck! 😂

Morbid Question!

Do you know what you want to do with your body when you die? Buried? Cremated? Launched into space?
Are you very sentimental when it comes to people's final reating places?

Cremated and buried in the small cemetery near where I grew up, surrounded by relatives.

I'm not particularly sentimental about it. I just try and follow their wishes, whatever they were.

A better question would be, how do you have time to track other people's posts, argue on the GB, smooooze wit teh ladeez, avoid the wife AND earn a living?

Awwww I have a fan. Sure sign I pushed a few buttons. I hate to tell you...I am not cool enough to make you cool too.

Cremate me. Spread my ashes where you will.

Have a kick-ass Irish wake after.

I'm good with that.

Yes. First, if possible, I want anything useful to be taken and donated to a recipient. If someone can have a life with my heart, lungs, kidney, liver, corneas, whatever, take them. Next, body donation, if they can make bone screws from my bones to give someone a better life, take it. If students can learn from me, take it.

Once body donation is complete, they mail the ashes of what they had no use for in an urn to next of kin free of charge. At that point, logical me doesn't give a crap. Superficial me would kind of like to be made into a jewelry piece or a blown glass vase or mixed with paint to make pretty artwork ir something.

I have now done this with both of my in laws (they were on board). First one didn't mention an ashes request, we found a note on a napkin in his glove box asking for body donation. He was a traveller living in his van, so we gave his van to his friends who were already living in it, and scatter some ashes as we travel. Most just sits in an urn. Mil just died, and when she was of sound mind, she requested the same and to be stored next to him (her current hubby didn't care)

My drivers license specifies organ donor, my family is aware of my desire for everyone to take what they can. My paperwork is filled out with 2 body donation centers. One was iffy on taking bodies used fot organ donation, hence 2 have all forms in case one bails. Cards with their phone number and my record number are in my wallet.

Having watched people struggle with burial and cremation costs and proceedures, and with us, because of donation, just having to call a phone number and fill out a form was so much better. And i have already filled out the forms, so all that needs to be done is one telephone call.

I haven't mentioned my superficial frivolous wish to be made into something pretty, as that is just weird lol

Once anything useful has been harvested, I like the burial pods where you fertilise a young tree... I like the idea of being part of a forest... but I am not really fussed - whatever is easiest for the living...

I agree with Justa...I am also an organ donor. After that, I think cremation makes the most sense for me. But I think I’d like for my kids, or whomever to have a place to visit if they want, so maybe burying the urn somewhere of their choosing. Really, it’s whatever would be the easiest on them.

On the first question, I don't much care. I'll be done using it, whatever works. Hopefully somebody can find more use for it than I usually do.

On the second question, no. At all. The only place that matters is in memories and in the hearts of the people that loved them. Everything else is just stuff.

I just assumed everyone was an organ donor. Barring any medical or religious practices, you’d have to be a dick not to be.

First off, it is not morbid. I was so thankful my Dad had made such thorough arrangements that when I got there, five hours after he died, he was already cremated. The simple funeral was arranged, and we had a pretty good celebration of his life.

Me? My wife and I have discussed things. We know each other's wishes, and we know we disagree.

You should talk too.

I am an organ donor, but after that, while Allia's tree thing sounds pretty cool, I have heard that you can have your ashes added to shotgun shells. So a month or so after my death, I'd like my loved ones to gather in the country at a table covered in shotguns, shotgun shells and whisky. (Shotguns first, whisky later).

Yes, this can be done. I knew someone whose ashes were scattered by a twelve-bore.

I worked with a woman who didn’t want to be an organ donor because she was afraid that she would save the life of someone who would then go on to do something “evil”. Aside from this, she was quite rational and kind.

As for me, take any organ, bone, tissue that is useful. Ideally find some constructive use for the rest, such as the tree fertilizing burial pod. I am not sentimental about the final resting place of a loved one’s body. That said, I find historic cemeteries quite interesting and usually visit one in any major city to which I travel.
